It’s been more than two years since I initially thought about starting my own blog.
Back then it was related to my second book (yes, I write books :D) : Microsoft AJAX Library Essentials: Client-side ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 Explained. Both Cristian and myself have invested a lot of time in getting this book out on the market and some stuff was left outside as the book was getting too big. We thought about getting the extra stuff published on the web via a blog but we never actually got to do it.
Writing books on new technologies or reviewing them is one of my hobbies but my day to day job is that of a Supervisor within the Alternative Channels Sector / IT Division in a Romanian bank. What do I do exactly? As part of this job I am involved in all aspects of the software development and maintenance life cycle. I am offering agile coaching for my colleagues and I am contributing to the implementation of different development practices within our organization.
As I am currently working with .NET technologies I will probably focus most of the entries on different topics. Methodologies and software architecture will also be present as they represent a very important part of what I do.
I read technology blogs on a daily basis and I will probably be posting daily or weekly summaries. I find this approach very useful and there are already out there a few that do it : Scott Guthrie, Sam Gentile, OakLeaf Systems. I will try to keep up with them and add even some more.
